In the San Francisco Bay Area, we work with two active after school providers, the Bay Area Community Resources(BACR) and the YMCA.
The BACR has been instrumental in supporting the growth of our Richmond program offerings, though our longest standing BACR site has been in San Francisco at Cleveland Elementary school in January 2013. Today we have worked with 10 or so BACR programs and have received fantastic support and excitement from the Site Coordinator and children alike.
The YMCA of San Francisco has been instrumental in launching Play Rugby San Francisco. Without their amazing support, our initial pilot program would not have been a success. Since June 2012, we have been working with YMCA SF and have developed a strong relationship with the Stonestown Family YMCA to bring rugby to more than 10 San Francisco elementary and middle schools, serving over 300 children in our short history. Across the bay, we have worked with the YMCA of the East Bay to bring further programing to schools in Richmond. We are very excited to expand and strengthen that relationship as our program grows overall.
