Manhattan RFC is a youth community rugby club based in New York City. The club’s philosophy is centered around developing children both on and off of the field and our certified instructors use Play Rugby USA’s unique, age-appropriate coaching curriculum, which focuses on teaching games for understanding and an activity based coaching philosophy to create a fun and inclusive environment.
Our special community makes people feel welcome and valued and allows your family to be part of an exclusive sporting organization based in NYC, working alongside a collection of people from all over the world who share a love for the game of rugby.

The club currently fields both flag and tackle rugby teams ranging in age from “RuggerTots” (K-1st Grade) flag through our Under 14 travel tackle team. Typically, each program will practice one to two days a week, with games on weekends for our tackle sides. Our seasonal practice venues include Chelsea Waterside Park, Pier 40, Randall’s Island Park and Pier 5. Both flag & tackle rugby programs are offered year round (Fall: Sept-Nov, Winter: Dec-Feb, Spring: Mar-June and Summer: July-Aug).
